We are back!

After a few months of reflection, redesign and repurposing, WIFB is finally back with a brand new website and fresh content. Let’s take a step back for a minute though and just quickly reiterate what the original intent of our initiative was/is: Women in Family Business was founded with the mission of becoming a global initiative that offers an opportunity to women to share their thoughts on matters relating to the family enterprise and sustainable business practices, connect with their peers, and contribute to the creation of a strong community.

Adding to our purpose

Two years into our journey we have gathered wonderful content, and have gone a long way in building a strong and interesting community that reaches across continents. However, today, as we present our new face, we want to expand on our previous mission and state that WIFB will be first and foremost a hub for content and conversations. We realised that to capture what challenges and opportunities are included in the multiple visible and invisible roles women play in the family enterprise, we had to focus first on creating a solid body of stories, knowledge, and experiences. We are convinced that this is the most consistent way to inspire and serve this wonderful community!

Tell us what you want

This is where you all come in: WIFB is only as strong as the sum of its parts! As a call to action, we would like to encourage you to write to us, call us or send a carrier pigeon with your ideas, suggestions, compliments, criticism or whatever else you feel will support the community. Whether you have a suggestion for an interviewee, want to write an article about a topic that is important to you or generally would like to share your ideas with us, please get in touch! And just so we are clear; Men are more than welcome to contribute to WIFB! So if you have a husband, brother, cousin, uncle, father, other relative or friend who you think could add value, don’t hesitate to put them forward.

Be the change!

The world is moving at a fast pace and family businesses will encounter many opportunities and challenges in the years to come. It would be wonderful if by opening up to each other and sharing experiences this community could become a platform where women find the necessary inspiration and support to find their roles in carrying their family legacies into the future.

Yours sincerely,

The WIFB Co-Founders
